My inspiration for painting comes from an experience of joy and connection with all of life. The beauty of discovering the forms and interplay of colors that emerge on paper is one of my greatest pleasures. I have been painting for more than eleven years, and work primarily with watercolor pencil and brush.
The paintings integrate the mathmatics of sound, color and form into a seamless whole. I am also a singer, and sing my paintings.
My art can be viewed from any direction. What you see will change, depending on the painting's orientation.
Stories of how the paintings have helped people improve their lives touch me deeply and often. They report experiences of relaxation, inspiration, and renewed self-power - a more creative and fulfilling life.
In addition to my other work, for over 18 years I have worked with clients privately, guiding them on an experiential journey into themselves and a richer, more peaceful life. By incorporating the Art Matrixes into these sessions, I have learned many ways that they can help people. I've also learned from people's experiences as they view the art in offices, at conferences or in their own home.
The art is already part of private collections, housed in corporate environments, and part of community and global initiatives. It has also been presented at conferences and shows, including numerous solo exhibitions. The president of one company uses his commissioned Corporate Art Matrix™ as a visual mission statement. We are honored to have one client invest in displaying a collection of the art in their medical offices on a long-term basis. Their belief is that the art has created a positive influence – both as a tangible impact on the business, and intangible perceptions of the physical environment.
